Four Apprentices from The Focus Training Group Nominated for Plymouth Apprentice of the Year Awards 2024
We are excited to share that four of our exceptional apprentices have been selected as finalists for the Plymouth Apprentice of the Year Awards. This annual event, scheduled for 8th February 2024, recognises the hard work, dedication, and talent of apprentices in various industries. Our nominees have truly set themselves apart, demonstrating both dedication and proficiency in their respective fields.
Meet the Nominees
Among the finalists are four apprentices who have shown remarkable commitment and skill in their work. Let’s meet them:
Lois Randle
Lois is currently completing a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship at Collins Aerospace. Her commitment to excellence has made her a standout candidate for this award. Lois’s dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and her nomination is well deserved.
Dan Alford
Dan works for MEC Mechanical Electrical Contracting and is an Electrical Installation Technician apprentice. His proficiency in his work and the dedication he brings to his role have earned him a place among the finalists. Dan’s expertise and hard work are a testament to his commitment to his trade.
Ellie King
Ellie, another Electrical Installation Technician apprentice, works for LiveWest. Her hard work, dedication, and exceptional results have set her apart in her field. Ellie’s nomination is a testament the high standards she sets for her work.
Josh Hughes
Josh is a Gas Engineering apprentice at Heybrook Heating Ltd. His technical skills, hard work, and commitment to excellence have impressed everyone. Josh’s nomination reflects his outstanding performance and the potential he has within the gas engineering industry.

Being selected as finalists for the Plymouth Apprenticeship Awards is a significant achievement. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of these apprentices. They have truly excelled in their fields and have set a high standard for all aspiring apprentices.
