OFT 105E Overview
This practical training course will provide experienced operatives with the skills necessary for the installation of pressure jet oil appliances.
Who is this course aimed at?
This course is best suited to experienced oil operatives, or Gas Safe registered heating system operatives.
Pre-requisites
Candidates must be either experienced oil operatives, or Gas Safe registered heating systems operatives.
Candidates must either already hold the 600a qualification, or take it alongside this assessment.
It is recommended that new entrants to the oil industry undertake the OFT 50 course first.

What topics will it cover?
Oil fired boiler safety requirements
Types of oil firing and cooking equipment
Oil storage (less than 3500 litres)
Fuel feed pipework
Oil fired boiler flues and ventilation
Boiler changeover
Oil fired heating system design, including Part L1
How long will the course take?
1DAY
Is there an exam? A practical assessment and a multiple-choice question paper.
What books will I need?
OFTEC Books 1, 2, 3 & 4.
We supply loan copies during the course, however candidates wishing to register with OFTEC will need to purchase copies.
How much will it cost?
Initial £158+VAT reassessment £105+VAT including training, assessment and certification fee.
