Remote Education Offer

News Article Header2

As a result of the Coronavirus global pandemic there has been a pivotal need for education settings to operate a ‘remote education offer’ to all learners.

Where guidance allows face to face training, we have additional risk assessments and precautions in place to allow the safe delivery in all our centres.

All learners are expected to always follow the safety rules in place, which include but are not limited to, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of hands, maintaining strict social distancing rules and always wearing a mask when away from the desk.

If face to face training is not possible, we have arrangements in place to deliver online training to all apprentices through various virtual learning environments regardless of learner age or the centre they would normally attend.

Where awarding bodies allow, arrangements have been made to carry out assessments remotely and if this is not approved by the awarding body then face to face assessments will continue with additional safety precautions in place where reasonably practical.

If any learner is unable to study from home due to lack of resources or a suitable environment, they should speak to their tutor where alternative arrangements can be made. Support will be based on individual circumstances and needs.

Due to the nature of the pandemic online training can be instigated at any time, sometimes with less than 24 hours’ notice. All learners should ensure that we have an up-to-date contact number for contact outside of office hours.

If a learner has to self isolate we will do our best to provide them with the resources required to continue their training during their self isolation period. If a class has to self isolate then training will be moved to online. Attendance to online training is compulsory and should be treated the same as if the learner was to attend the training face to face.
