Congratulations!

Matthew Bastyan is the first person in the country to have achieved a Distinction through the Lantra end point assessment in the Level 2 Arborist standard.

Matthew said "I am extremely chuffed to have completed the apprenticeship with a Distinction. I enjoyed the course and have learnt a lot that has driven me to learn more and develop in the field of Arboriculture”.

Buckfast Abbey have said of Matthew's achievement, "We are delighted that Matt he has passed his Arborist’s apprenticeship with a distinction, no more than he deserves for all his hard work.

Matt has been working with us for about two years at Buckfast Abbey, throughout that time he has been a great asset to our team. He is diligent, focused, cooperative and a pleasure to work with.

We would like to extend our thanks to the The Focus Training Group for their excellent training which has helped Matt to develop as he has. Particularly to Nobby Clarke who has given continuous time, care and support."
