We are dedicated to service a range of industries and job roles, offering training and also employment opportunities. The Focus Training Group consistently deliver exceptional quality apprenticeship and short course training across five dedicated centres in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth and Redruth.

In this role, you will Train and Assess for the Electrical brand ensuring that the quality of provision is maintained to the highest standard. One position is based in Plymouth and the other in Redruth office teaching 4 days per week with 1 day per week prep.

What will your role as a Trainer/Assessor look like?

To communicate effectively and professionally across all brands and centres.

To provide support for all learners in compliance with The Focus Training Groups policies and procedures.

Teach learners undertaking Electrotechnical Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Ensure that your knowledge is current to meet the technical and assessment requirements of the awarding organisations.

To hold and work towards relevant qualifications as required.

Ensure knowledge is up to date with current legislation and working practices within the trade.

To motivate learners to ensure success.

The successful applicant with need to undergo a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) as a condition of the job offer.

A teaching/assessing qualification is preferred but not essential.

Applicants will need relevant industry qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) plus at least five years ‘on the tools’. If you don’t already hold a Level 3 testing qualification, JIB Card, (Electrician Grade minimum) and an assessor award we can arrange and fund this training as part of your induction process.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £37,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
