Overview

Stump grinders are an essential tool for the removal of larger root systems from the ground. This course will show you how to maintain and safely operate these machines.

What topics will it cover?

We will cover engine maintenance, belts, filters and fluid levels. We will then take a look at tooth removal and setting. Before operation we will discuss site safety and the use of tools to avoid hitting underground objects. We will then use the machine to grind out tree stumps, and discuss the applications of the machine to larger diameter trees.

How long will the course take?

1 DAY

One day training including integrated assessment.

Pre-Requisites

Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting, Felling Trees up to 380mm, and Felling Trees above 380mm.
