Overview

This course takes more experienced operators through the skills required for the sectional removal of trees and branches using additional rope techniques where there are obstacles underneath.

What topics will it cover?

Being able to identify and use the correct technique for dismantling trees can make all the difference in time management, and the avoidance of potential damage. We look at the different scenarios that trees may require dismantling in, and the choice of equipment available to do the job with.

The course involves the use of more advanced rigging equipment, for sectional dismantling of trees. We cover roping off branches, cradles, and the use of tag lines. We will also dismantle standing poles from spices using blocks and capstans.

How long will the course take?

3 DAYS

Three days training plus one day independent assessment.
