Overview

City & Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 course aim is designed for practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training before going on to achieve the City & Guilds 2391-52.

Who is this course aimed at?

Candidates who have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science principles, and experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade. This course is intended for practicing electricians with relevant experience. It is suitable for electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers and practicing electricians. Prior knowledge in basic electrical science will be required.

How long will the course take?

3.5 DAYS

Three and a half days (9am to 4pm) with online exam during afternoon of third day and practical assessment on last day.

Reasons for inspection & testing and legal requirements

Safe isolation

Selection of instruments

Sequence of tests

Practical inspection and testing of single phase installations

What books will I need?

You will need the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and On-Site Guide.

Is there an exam?

Yes, there is a one hour and forty minutes multiple choice online examination and a two hour practical exam.

How much will it cost?

£482+VAT Per Person.

When will I know if I've passed?

Provisionally at the time of undertaking the assessments. Certificates will follow when verified.
